During the five years Roy Steves served as chief marketing officer of PoolSupplyWorld, the pure-play online retailer more than doubled revenue, resulting in an acquisition by Leslie’s Pool Supplies, a national brick-and-mortar retail chain with nearly a thousand stores in 35 states. As VP of digital marketing with Leslie’s, he championed data-driven ecommerce-inspired strategies, providing analysis and strategic insights that fueled both online and offline growth. In 2015, Steves left to start StatBid, an AdWords management company, allowing him to double down on his favorite aspects of his past experience – helping build businesses and talking shop with ecommerce innovators.
